I figured so because dollar for dollar you can't beat a jon boat.

Probably been more fish caught in a jon boat than any other way. Simple, inexpensive and very effective.

I had a 14 footer with a 3 horse Johnson, My 2 dis likes where 1. ti was just to noisy, even though I carpeted it and 2. the bottom was too narrow and you couldn't stand in it verry safely. that is why I am thinking about a Kayak.

And that's why I'm building my own jon boat. 48 in bottom and electric telling motors. I don't like kayaks becasue I spend too much time paddling and not enough time fishing. Combine that with cramps, back and hip pain from sitting in a cramped kayak, give me a jon boat any day.

I built a kayak, most uncomfortable thing ever. If you can't stand in a jon boat then why a kayak that's even narrower?

well for me I am looking at Kayaks because of the weight factor. you can pick it up throw it in the back of your truck and you don't have the hassel of eather loading it in the bed of the truck (MUCH heaver) or hooking up to a trailor. and you can get where a John boat cant go.
