My first Boat was a 14 foot Jon Boat and I wish I had it back, saving My pennies to replace it. I like My 12 foot v hull Sea Nymph but it's hard to beat a Jon for versatility.

I have a new 10ft Alumacraft jon with either a 30#MinnKota or a 4hp '97 Merc. Use the heck out of it. I'm planning next year to upgrade to a 6hp Yammie though. Trout fishing when more than one generator is running and a few spots where the current really picks up, it's hard for the little 4 to gain any ground.

Hummmm ??? For me I think its easier to just hook up the trailer ..

1436 all welded 15hp Mercury. Since this picture was taken I have put Driftmasters all the way around and added a Minn Kota Terrova with ipilot. I also installed a seat base an the front deck so my 6 yo son can sit in front of me. Crappie catching machine!

I use a Jon boat. It is a 14 foot Crestliner Utility Jon. Works well. Light weight. Easy to tow.

My rig is a Crestliner 1236. Just back into the water and push out. To load, back into the water and drive on. Best set up when you can't have a trailer.
