    Default New Pedal Drive kayak

Last year I was determined to get an Ascend 12T - my first kayak. Although a good first kayak for me, it had some drawbacks. I quickly learned that it was difficult to fish and paddle at the same time, and when my right shoulder started acting up, I started looking at pedal drive kayaks.

So I upgraded yesterday. Picked up a brand new Old Town PDL 120. Waiting for Amazon to deliver my kayak cart, as the Ascend 12T sold in less than 12 hours yesterday (with the kayak cart). Looking forward to my first fishing trip with my new boat!

    All the best,
    Glenn

Congrats, pretty kayak. It's much easier to pedal and fish plus covering water is easier too. We travel much further with our pedal drive kayaks. I will recommend a small hand paddle, spinning around or very sharp turns are harder.

You will enjoy it and be glad you upgraded to the Old Town, solid boats and great pedal drive system. I have the Bigwater 132 PDL and do a lot of longlining with it. Congrats.
