Well, if you all are interested in a Kayak/Canoe/PaddlePowered Message Board, all I need is a Moderator. Does anyone have any suggestions or volunteers?

I know I will post there, I have more questions.

If vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what's baby oil made from?

How about "Non-Motorized Watercraft" rather than "Kayak/Canoe/Whatever"?
Bellyboats, kickboats, canoes, catarafts, etc. that use human power for
propulsion would be covered. They all have the same basic needs relative
    to crappie fishing.

There are some kayaks, canoes, and such that are motorized. Both by electric and gas, but mostly electric.
How about "Kayaks, canoes, and other small watercraft "?

    kb2112, check your PM's.

And that's a fine suggestion, I will change it. hsv's suggestion was good too, but I think kb's suggestion covers everything.

John boats will surely dominate the posts if the forum is
    defined that way.

I hate to sound eliteist, but using an electric motor misses
the entire point of this style of fishing. The main benefits
are mild, aerobic exercise plus minimal operating costs. Most
states require any motorized craft to be registered.
The sonar I just added to my rig pushes the pain-in-the-rear
envelope because my 12V deer-feeder battery must be
    charged once a week.

It's all too easy to lose perspective.

I agree. There there will be a certain amount of cross-over, a kayak like the OK Torque (Torque™ - Ocean Kayak), a production made kayak, or a BassYak (http://www.bassyaks.com/), a kit to upgrade to an existing yak, will always push the envelope or definition. It would be a gray area to be aware of. My own kayak, a Hobie Revolution, in some circles is put in a negative light as you dont have to paddle it, you peddle it. If there is a situation of a post not belonging or fitting better in another forum then it would be moved.

I think it would be extremely difficult to come up with a definition to cover every situation.

Anyway, with all this talk about fishing with kayaks, I'm wondering if there would be enough interest to have it's own board here on crappie.com?
Slab, heck ya! Do it ! Kayak fishing is really growing!
