Yes. There is heavy brush there. It's also one of my favorite spots for crappie, all year, on Hillsdale. Find the schooling shad and you'll find crappie. Often out in front of the visable trees. I don't even tie up. Just drop small jigs through the schools of shad. Crappie are underneath feeding. You will often be over the channel in 30 ft of water. Crappie will be 10-15 feet down.

Last Wednesday you could see several schools of shad on the surface along the dam. Birds were in a feeding frenzy. Very cool
Thanks for the input, never fished that far north and not trying to give away anyone's fishing spot just trying to help someone find fish by looking at a map and learn winter fishing and crappie movement.Hillsdale
