I've never fished marion res; but I've know guys who ice fish it in the past and they always focus right around the outlet of the dam. Know that's not much info but hope it helps.
To have anyone give me their honey holes just wondering if anyone has or does fish marion and what's your take on it. Been getting burnt out on eldorado just looking to try something else...thanks

I have done ok on crappie along the dam but that is usually in late April to early May. Then around the end of September they seem to get along the dam but in deeper water. I have never really killed them at Marion but if you stay with you can do ok. Trolling about mid lake in May and June is always goo for wipers. The main problem with Marion is for the past 4 or 5 years they get the green algae starting in June and shutting down the lake for a couple of months.
Cottonwood river going into Marion has some decent crappie fishing as well
Eldorado still producing... We nabbed 30 Saturday.... and 18 from fall river in a few hours Sunday...
+1 on the ice near the outlet, just don't think we'll see enough ice to try it this year. Agreed on the river, if the water is up enough it's a great place to catch crappie. Broken bridge is on the river and you can fish it without a boat, lots of structure to dip or cast around.
Never fished Eldo before would not know where to start. Any hints.
