Well my boat was just screaming to get out before ice up next week one more time. A neighbor of mine to the state want to get out so I guess I had no excuse not to go. I have been seeing Slabby Joe's pictures and just need to feel the thump. I unpile the decoys off the boat and head to HD around 1:30 yesterday. Stopping to fill up I ran into a fellow CDC member that I have not seen in a while, get to see you sir! Well once on the the water it took my a while to find the fish. The wife has been a little under the weather the last few months so this was my first time crappie fishing since Aug and it showed. Spent the first 2 hours looking and not finding much. I finally found a good break in 25 ft of water holding fish. Put 31 nice fish in the boat including a 26 inch eye. Not bad for an hour and half of fishing. Water temp was 40 and red and chartreuse was the color.
