    Default Perry

There seems to be a lack of reports on here lately so I'll get it stated. I went to Perry Sunday it was my first time on that lake winter fishing and first time fishing it in maybe 4 years. I was out there from 7:30 to 2:30 finished with a 20 fish limit but had to thin through a bunch of 4-9" fish I mean a ton. They were in the brush but weren't really in big groups yet pretty spread out. The fish I kept seemed thin in the shoulders too. I think the biggest was maybe 12". I saw a lot of boats out there how did everyone else do?

I was going start a thread, but you beat me to it. Glad to hear another solid report from Perry. Fished Saturday from 730 to noon with a limit. Most bites were keeper bites, with a few 13's and 14's mixed in. Fish were thick in the shoulders and bellies. Only seen 1 other boat all morning. Fished yesterday from 8 to 3 with a limit. Had 41 total (3 man). Bite was much slower and size was down as well, but the company was much too good to call it off early. All came off brush in 15-20 ft near or in the creek channel (channel swings produced better). Catch a few off each brush, move onto another brush, and hit repeat button. 3 other boats came in and left. Water temp was 40.5* on Sat and held steady at 39* Mon. Glad to get a bit of fishing in before hard water sets in.

Never been to perry and have been thinking about planning a trip up there... what end of the lake is best this time of year?

Rock Creek seems to produce better fish more consistently in the fall and winter for me. That's just based on my limited experience.
