    Default Small Lakes in Kansas

Do not forget the smaller lakes, was able to put 19 nice crappie in the livewell in just under 2.5 hours. Was using minnow in 12-14 feet of water, brushpiles, only two other boats on the lake. Sorry no pictures, was after dark when I got home.

Any examples of nice small lakes around Lawrence you would care to suggest?

Spine Guy, have you tried Lone Star, or Osage State Lake, Banner Creek. Was on another small lake today, the crappie were biting. Good luck to you.

I have heard a lot about and want to try Lone Star. Are there fishing opportunities from the shore, or maybe dock (s)?

Believe the east shore would be my choice.

Ottawa State Lake has good numbers but I have never caught any with size to them. It's stocked with saugeye too.
