Wow. I cant believe how inconsiderate some people are. We got up extra early to try to get the spot at the hot water discharge. Get there was before sunrise get setup and actually hung out almost 2 hours before the sun came out.

Anywho. We are within casting distance to the banks. Boat comes in and parks right at the point on the right side/end of the bouy line.

They run into the rocks. Tie to it and then bring their gear inside the fence restricted area and fish. 10 minutes later the crappie just start to hit... i get 3 back yo back keepers.... the guy sees me catch.... goes back to his boat and pulls a cast net out. I looked at him and asked him not to cast net where i am casting my lures into. He said "the lake isnt yours" and continues to cast net right where im fishing.

Pretty angry i told him thats messed up. He told me to shut up. He throws out 3 catfish poles on the boat and goes back into the restricted area.

20 to 30 min goes by and thr crappie try to school up again. I catch 2 more back to back.... so he goes back to the boat and does the same thing.

All in all. Caught 9 keepers but so disappointed that the same pattern we have been fishing for a month was disrupted by someone with no consideration and just wanted to throw a cast net into an area someones been fishing.

Hoping the ranger goes out there and catches them in the restricted fishing area. Its getting ridiculous.

I think I would have called the law and told them there was someone inside the restricted area that looked suspicious!! That is if I didn't have a gun!

This would have been a good situation to post some pictures of boat numbers and that inconsiderate SOB IMHO. Other fishers would know what to expect if they where fishing near this A-hole.

I dunno about the whole gun thing. Seems fish arent that important to escalate it to that level.

I feel i carry to protect myself. Not to start battles not worth getting in trouble over.

Good idea on taking pics of the boat and registration #.

It was an older blue fiberglass bass boat with an older 40hp motor. KA 444 something. I didnt remember the rest. After he threw the net a couple times i just started to pack up my stuff and went to a different area.

The hot water discharge wasnt that great today anyways. I didnt hook onto any white bass and even the guys fishing the bank and fence werent catching as much as ive seen them catch. Also not as many shad around. Guy threw his net multiple times and didnt get much shad. A lot more blue gils.

That sucks. I had a guy on the bank do something similar a few years ago when I found some fish holding against the drop just behind the cable along the east side. I caught several in a row and saw him coming down from the rocks with his net. I yelled and asked him not to throw his net right there. He either didn't care or didn't understand because he started throwing anyways. The state could make a killing if they just started watching people fishing around that outlet. Post someone up in the woods in camo to watch and I bet a day wouldn't go by that they couldn't write at least a half dozen tickets for various violations.

Blue pretty much the same experience I got. Oh well. I was pretty mad but now that I think about it.. its only fish. Just move on and let karma get them later.

I did see kevin rogers dad out there. Him and his fishing buddy put a hurting on feelings catching what it seems like at least 20 fish to 1 compared to everyone else. Always super nice and friendly to fish next to.

People like that need to be taught a lesson or they will continue doing the same thing over and over.

For what it's worth, I was at that spot last Sunday. I had my twin granddaughters with me and we walked in. As we were pulling into the parking lot, two Fish and Game guys were pulling out. On the way up the path, I ran into a guy who told me he received a ticket for having a largemouth bass that was 17 inches long -- one inch short of regulation for that area.
