    Default LaCygne questions

Thinking about going to LaCygne on Monday and was wondering if any of you guys have been catching anything. What the pattern is and what they are bitting on. This is my first time out in a boat on this lake and any tips would be greatly appreciated. Also are there any park or ramp fees to launch my boat? If so where do I get the passes from. I'm going to do some Web searching but thought I would also ask you guys. Thanks for any and all input

I have used the ramp at the marina store/bait shop. $2 ramp fee via self pay station. I've only been on lake a few times but that was last year. Fished for crappies at gates at dam. Get to lake before rooster crows. Good fishing luck to you.

Lots of crappie at the spillway gates right now. I believe the fee is $3 now (I buy the year permit so not positive), and the marina ramp is the only one I use anymore. Get there before sunrise (yes, even on Monday), because it looks like the weather is suppose to be nice and if the fish are biting like they have been there will be 3-4 boats packed in there by 7am for sure. You can catch them elsewhere but that's by far the easiest place to find and catch them. Whites and wipers have been pretty good at the warm water also but have been running small.

That sounfs great to hear the crappie are at the gates. I went weeks ago but found a good amount at other places around the lake so i didnt push to go get a spot at the gates.

I mainly fished around the hot water outlet. Color that has worked best for me this year is a orange w chart tube. I mix between double 1/16 double 1/8 or single 1/4 jigs depends on how they want it that day.

Been catching everything on jigs. Crappie whites wipers catfish (unwanted drums and buffalo) but it seemed to work so i kept using it.

Also. Couple weeks ago before the water went up 3 more feet. I was doing very well in the creeks. But the lake level rose and seemed really muddy and thr last trip the creek didnt provide much.

Hey guys thanks for all of the feed back, unfortunately we didn't make it out there. The fog up here that morning was too thick to even see where we were going. Put the trip on hold for another day.
