    Default Happy Turkey Day

Happy Thanksgiving!! Weather permitting I plan on fishing soon! Dang wind! Smoked the ribs and chicken - the turkey is in the electric roaster oven.

I discovered once you get a good offset barrel smoker that HOLDS the heat the rest is easy. Hope everybody has a great Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday.

Dan, I usually just use what I can find on sale. Pulter makes pretty good ones. I have found the trick is taking good care of the thermocouple. Do not bend it or smash it in door keep it away from extreme heat. Take care of it and the digital part will usually work fine. Can still trade smoking session for a fishing trip. Cheesey potatoes recipe included.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. Just got back from in-laws in Bartlesville. 3 hours of driving in rain. Temp dropped 30 degrees too. <*)}}}><

Family went with my parents to a cousin's for turkey day. I ate a frozen pizza then went to work and ate dinner with all the folks working the night shift. I am thankful to have a good job that allows me to provide for my family even if I do work some holidays.

Zummy glad you have a great job and hope your family brings you some turkey day leftovers! If the online weather channel forecast is correct their may be several days of above 50 degree weather in December.
