    Default Geary State Lake 11/13 & 11/14

Finally made it to Geary State Fishing Lake this last weekend. What a cool lake, can't believe I haven't been there before!

Started Friday morning out trying to find some brush piles. Hit a chunky bluegill pretty quick but that was all for about an hour. After looking most of the morning I found a tree that looked like it was holding fish. First drop and BOOM fish on. Caught about a dozen crappie in 10 minutes, which was ironic because I waited as late as I could and had to load up to make it home to announce a basketball game.

With that said, Saturday was on the schedule. Got there around 1PM and went to the same spot. Fish on! Hitting on anything with pink on it and every once in awhile minnows. Caught fish in 15 fow and 5 fow, seemed to be going back and forth most of the day, shallow and deep.

We probably put 4-5 dozen slabs in the boat by the end of the day. Took a dozen home to fry up, but it was a much needed change from a rough year for me personally. Hadn't caught fish like that or anything to even take home since April! The thought of selling the boat is gone

Might have to make another trip up this next weekend if the weather is decent.

Good job Wiggy!!! I've never been on it before either, sure looks like a nice place from what I've seen. Let me know if you're headed that way again, might have to drag the ole boat out of the garage, she's getting lonely!!

Nice report. You only sell your boat. To get a nicer one!
