Welp. Got to the spot late and there was already someone there. Also due to the time change I forgot sunrise was technically 1 hour earlier. So i got there 1 hour late

Found some whites and a couple undersized wipers in the 15" range.

Felt it was too crowded to went to my crappie spot. 30 ft deep. Pitch in and let her sink. Slow retreive and every now and then a quality crappie took the bait.

    1 at 10" 6 11" and 1 over 12"

Left at 1pm and headed home.

Thanks for the good report. Still got after them even when a couple things didn't go as planned.

    Question about wiper techniques.
I have always trolled with stick baits either shallow <10' or deeper 16-20'. Usually I follow the channels and concentrate on bends or drop offs. Occasionally I will get one while bottom bouncing for walleye.
    What techniques do you favor?
    Thanks in advance.

Well. I went to a spot that wipers were just going crazy.

I just cast jigs into fast running watet and hope for a bit. Usually the water is only a couple feet deep.

So my wiper technique is diff than fishing open water tbh.

Some drift shad. Some just keep moving until they see schools of fish. I'm still learning electronics. I can see fish on the screen but sometimes i feel like whatever i throw at them they wont take it.

Thanks for the info. Sounds interesting.
In regards to: "running water", "only a couple of feet deep", are you fishing in river/"crik", or shallows/coves of lake with in flowing source?
    What is your "home water"?
