    Default Clinton- 8/31 & 9/2

Went solo got a good minnow count at the new place as you come into the state park...went to s. side of the lake and k-rigged in and out of the trees...also fished brushpiles on the s. side towards the dam...not much happening in tree rows. I did run into Bruce ( terrybassboat) and he let me download his waypoints on Clinton..very generous on his part and it'll definitely help me in the future...much thanks Bruce! I ended with 16 and a catfish plus two from Bruce. Now today was a minnie C.Com get together...Chatt, Center12(Charlie), Bruce and Ron Meeder and I all hoping to find somemore biting fish but we soon had to deal with rain, wind and lightning and a slow bite. Ron and I were C&R today and maybe had 1/2 doz. keepers, Charlie ended with 13, Chatt was on a scouting mission(not keeping) and I didn't talk to Bruce so not sure how he did. Nice seeing some fellow fishers and swapping lies!Early start and a full moon Name: 20150831_071921_resized_1.jpg

Good day on the lake, light rain on us most of the morning, no lightning so was able to continue chasing slabs. Like Doug said we caught a few, good healthy fish, all released for another day. Water looked good in the part of the lake we fished, Chatt said there there was a brown alge bloom on the waki arm.

It was a pretty good day except for the rain. Didn't keep any so don't know how many. This one was the biggest. The fish seem to be in good shape. You are very welcome Doug.

Did all you retired guys pee in the lake before you left yesterday or what, couldn't buy a keeper today!!!

Think I caught 5 or 6 short fish in 5 hours of fishing this morning, something sure changed and in a hurry too.

Got biofilter built for bait tank, maybe I'll be able to keep something besides fatheads alive.....shiners maybe.

Good to see you all yesterday.

Starting to think center12 has caught all the fish out of the lake. Haledamage and myself did not boat a crappie today, only catfish. one was fun to have on a 10 foot crappie rod, weighty 7.2 pounds. There is going to be days like this, got to get better.

Had a great time with Ron yesterday. We both caught some nice cats on those 10' rods. Now that is fun. We were on the lake at 6:46 and off at 11 before it got too hot and the holiday weekend boaters arrived. Another super fantastic day.
    Take a kid fishing--even a old kid
