    Default Going to Clinton

We are going to make a trip to Clinton the first week of May. I have never been there but am looking for any general information on where to start. We will be in a boat and hope to catch the crappie when they are shallow. Also, do they sell minnows in the marina? All help and information is appreciated, thanks.

They do sell minnows at the marina. They do run out during the busy times and get restocked on Thursdays. Another close place is Miller Mart Phillips 66 about 1 mile East on Clinton Parkway.
If you see someone on a pontoon with a roof by the marina restrooms that would be me, stop by and say hey.

The Marine does not open till 7 or 8am. the Phillips 66 I think opens between 5:30 and 6am if you need minnows early.

They have opened a small baitshop in the old building at the entrance to state park. He opens at 6:00 am and closes around 8:00pm. His minnows are $3.35 a dozen don't know about the count.
