    Default lacygne 1 11 15

I only go a couple times a year and never really target crappie. Usually just white bass or cat fish at the hot water outlet.

Got there at sunrise and found water temp all over the lake to be right about 36 degrees. Stacks were not running. Zero shad found at the hot water outlet. Got a new fish finder and di. Went back and forward and didnt see any definitive signs of fish.

Anywho. Found some guys in a different location that seemed very nice and helpful. I suck at names but kevin? Another guy that works at the olathe bass pro. And i guess a boat dealer.

Any who. First time i really was able to catch crappie at this lake thanks to some pointers from the pros. They were catching at least 10:1 compared to me and my friend. We ended up catching 11 nice sized ones and called it a day.

I did try every different count and retreive speed but they just plain out fished us. Maybe lure color. Maybe line? They were using braid and we were using mono. I'll just chalk it up to their superior technique. Thanks if you guys are out there. It seemed like a decent group of guys just bsing, fishing and having fun.

Im not great at fishing and kids work and other priorities in life make it hard to go all the time. But i still like to get out there and have fun. I'd rather catch fewer fish with good company than catch a lot but around bad company.

dester223, heck yes fishing should be fun!
I love it, probably too much…

Nothing funnier than sitting out there cutting up, laughing and catching fish.

dester223, It was a pleasure meeting you and your buddy yesterday. Kevin and Charlie can flat out catch 'em, and they aren't afraid to share some info to help others out. Good people. I was they guy from Bass Pro that was there watching the show with you. I have to agree with you, it was a great day of fishing and a good group of guys out there yesterday. I look forward to seeing you on the water again and if you are ever in the store say "Hi".

Doh, Sorry I never even told you guys my name. It's Chuong. I keep forgetting message forums don't display names. When I swing by the olathe BP. I'll make a note to try to find you.

Hey Chuong! I don't know if you remember me but I bought that silver hatch from you a few years ago and I had the turbo single cams. Didn't know you were a fisherman, we'll have to meet up sometime. I've been wanting to try out LaCygne.
