El Dorado Lake Sept 13th

Went out on Sat and caught crappie over brush in 12-6 FOW. All fish were caught on jigs. Ended up at 49 fish and all back to be caught again. There were two of us fishing.

Hi Shane, I did some tree dippin at Harvey East last Sunday with no luck. Then tried near the dam and caught 5 big bluegill and did some catfishin and caught several small channels - nothing to brag about but nice weather and had fun - water temp was 65. Can you tell me approx. when the El Dorado crappie will begin schooling this fall and the water temp/time that will affect this? Would like to mention I have done my part to thin out the white perch at El Dorado and Cheney this year and its fun watching the gulls snatch them up off the water!

We were out there the weekend before last camping, did more camping than fishing, but found a lot of crappie on the same pattern on brush. The far majority of them were dinks but had enough fish worth keeping for a meal.
