    Default 6-6-14 Coffey County

Got off work early and hit the lake. It was non stop action on surfacing white bass for the 4 hours I fished. I know I boated close to 100 fish. Nobody wanted to fish today either sO I didn't get to share it with anybody but the dog. The east wind had them pushed onto the west bank. Sounds like everybody caught fish today. Rattle trap worked magic, but I also caught them vertical jigging chartruse and white with clear silver flake tail 3" grubs.

I need to buy a better fish finder. Where did you mount the transducer

They are both on the back of the boat. It runs the regular skimmer for the 2d sonar then the structure scan transducer is next to it. Touch units already have built in structure scan. Going to add a nice one to the bow sometime this winter or next spring. Trying to build a house and don't want to drop that kind of coin on a second one.

Yes they are pretty good. Not as good as a crappie or walleye but nothing to sneeze at. There is some red meat on them. Many trim the red meat off. I have done it both ways. Most of the time I trim it off unless I am in a hurry.

This. I don't keep many fish though. I just like the constant action white bass provide. They were fairly color specific yesterday which you don't usually see. Also they wouldn't touch a top water bail which is unusual when they are busting shad like that.
