Thanks Craig for the information on the ice being clear. started about 8:30 just to check out the boat after sitting for 4 months. Skim ice around boat ramp only. Boat ran and worked great so off we went about 930 when partner showed up. Crappie and white bass was plenty. about 20 crappie from 9-11" long. only one went 12". Lots of very health white bass. Only color that seemed to work on any fish was a light brown body and yellow tail. didn't matter if it was a swim tail, curly tail, flat tail. but if it wasn't a brownish color there was no hits what so ever. cleaned about 40 fish (why anybody wants white bass is beside me). But a great day on the water. very little wind all day and as the wind picked up the sunshine did also to get it nice and comfortable to fish.

Thanks for the report Don! I dont mind white bass at all. They are decent eating and pretty easy to catch.

My girls family will take white bass over large mouth all day. They just scale them, gut them then deep fry them.

Fished El Dorado lake last night for an hours or so and it was non stop on the crappie. Had to use one rod each with two of us. Kept 12 for the table and thats something I don't do offen. Caught most fish around 12-15 FOW. Great to out on home lake again..

Don, I'm with you on the white bass. I chase them over below Truman dam. The best part is when that bite turns out to be a wiper. They are great after you remove the red meat.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393384728.147183.jpg
