Just a word of advice, make of it whay you will. Does your wife know how to back a trailer? If not, do yourself and her a favor and teach her in an empty parking lot instead of a boat ramp. I have seen it go badly at the ramp and it is never pretty. Although it is humorous for the onlookers. Just my .02

Nobody was at the ramp, so I let her have a shot at it. We got it in the water, but it was anything but pretty. Wish we had a parking lot close, but I would have to drive to Emporia or Burlington to find one big enough.

On a side note we had no intention of fishing, but as we are motoring out my daughter said she wanted to fish. Luckily I had some poles already in the boat. Marked a lot of fish in 15 ft of water 12 ft deep. Couldn't get any bites though. Unknown what they were. Then I fished some rock/gravel banks but no luck. I was pitching a 3" curly tail grub and the daughter was fishing with a 2" grub both on 1/8 oz heads. Didn't catch one fish. I am not a very good angler at unfamiliar lakes.

Started out throwing jerkbaits. Caught a few that way but was a little slow. We found some coves that were protected from the wind and started throwing shakyheads with finesse worms and that's how we caught most of the nice fish.

Hey Matt, just to let u kno, when using sundance ramp, make sure when heading east u stay towards the south side as the north side is very shallow, if u have a gps just follow the channel to where it cuts into the south bank, and from there on east u'r good to go about anywhere on north or south.
