    Default El Dorado Lake

Just to let everyone know, we went out last night and caught crappie in 3 - 0.5 feet of water.. They are ready to spawn... Males were black and females were big...

    Thanks for the report.
I was really wanting to get out but I had grass that I HAD to plant before the coming rainy days.
I'm sure the coming cooler temps is joining to mess with them again, but they have one thing on their mind so they shouldn't go to far.

Shane, how are the boat ramps at El Dorado? I just about always use the one on the West side with all the sail boats in the cove. Have you used the one way North on the East side that you can see from the Turnpike? Not like I am going out today but just wondering for future use. Thanks for any information, Randy.

Shady Creek Marina ramp is fine although the water less than 2 feet deep under the state courtesy dock. Here's more info from the KDWPT El Dorado Fishing Report.

Two of the State Park boat ramps are closed. The Area 1 boat ramp (east of Shady Creek Marina) and the Boulder Bluff South ramp are closed due to low water.

There are three boat ramps within the Wildlife Area. The NE 70th Street Ramp located in the northeast part of the lake just south of the Turnpike is closed. The NE 60th Street Ramp located on the upper west end of the lake is also closed. The Chelsea Boat ramp on the east shore of the lake remains open.

Five Fingers and Boulder Bluff South are the same location.

The lake has only come up 0.20 feet so not much change to status of the ramps.
