That photo gives me an idea what to do with an old tape measure I've got laying around that the rewind spring broke.
Cut out 3-4 inches at the 5" spot then reconnect it. Laying a legal 10" crappie on top to hide the cut out section to make it look like it is 14" long.
Now I just have to catch a 10"+ crappie.

slab. Lot of ice on main lake. Marina ramp open but lots of 'iceburgs'. Same bite at 20ft. Fished around DK just outside the Marina 'no wake' bouys. GREAT day!!! <*)}}}><
