    Default Finally made it out

We finally made it out to Melvern on Saturday morning. Had a really good day (at least in my books). We caught probably 30 and kept 16.

We did see the most inconsiderate moron I have ever seen on Melvern that morning though. We were fishing a really large brush pile with two other boats fishing the same piles. This area is probably 100 yards long and 30 yards wide. Anyway, all three of the boats were catching fish and minding our own business not intruding on anyone else when this big assed fiberglass Ranger walleye boat comes barging through all of us. It was a silver and black boat with these two morons staring at the electronics as they weave in and out of us apparently trying to see what it is we are fishing. I hollered at them a couple times when they got within spitting distance from me and they paid no mind to what I had to say. They were not just idling either, they are probably doing 6-8 mph as they weaved in and out of us. I was highly pissed and finally packed things up and left as I had my 5 year old with me and I didnt want to say something I shouldnt with him in the boat.

I dont know what happened to common courtesy but I can promise that the next time some idiot decides to pull a stunt like that I will have a large casting pole with a snagging hook on the end of it that I "am fishing with". If it happens to snag one of those morons then I guess they were just too close!

I would love to meet these two "fellas" in the big ranger walleye boat on land so we can have a little "talk"!
I wish I would have had a camera with me. Next time I will be prepared so if this was one of you reading this, please heed my warning. It will not go without consequence next time you decide to come barging though a few boats quietly fishing! I will make my presence known pretty damn quick!

I had a guy do about the same thing to me earlier this year... just kept driving around me over and over again. It was early in the morning and the whole lake was free. Made me so made i left, but when moving to another spot a hour later i seen him moving with his engine cover off with his trolling motor down. Couldn't help but smile as i drove by.

I keep hoping I could see something like this but it doesnt seem to happen to me. I did however get the chance to "help a fella drift" here a while back. On several different instances he decided to "vertical jig" right in the middle of our drift pattern ( he saw us catch walleye and then moved in to where we caught the fish as we drifted past).

I helped him out a few weeks ago while he was "vertical jigging" as I went by. I made sure to slow down to just under plane and wave as I went by. It is impolite to go by someone at full throttle dont you know!

Tried to farm some fisherman by dropping the ole plow huh? Probably would've worked on most boats, but not those Rangers. I've watched them 619-620's at the walleye tournaments when it's windy and it doesn't seem to affect them a bit. You probably made his jig twitch and he caught a fish Don't forget to raise your orange flag, seems them ski boats think they can do anything with the flag up Rofl
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat

Its not just when you are on a boat that people can be brutal. I was fishing not far from the dam at El'Dorado earlier this year when a bass boat ran over my line and spooled my light action pole. He had been fishing about 100 feet from us and decided to up and leave full bore not 20 feet from the shore. Took my lightup bobber, 120ft of 12lb fireline and a tinsel jig I bought years ago at a walmart back in Ohio that I haven't been able to find again. Some people just don't have any sense of what courtesy is and only care about themselves. I was hoping he would of hit a rock and sunk his $60,000 baby after a stunt like that, some people just don't deserve to be on the water or breed if you ask me.
Please critique my fishing articles and share them to help an young aspiring author!
