Default Glen the Last two weekend

I made the trip out to Glen the last two weekends.

Lets just say Mother Nature won both rounds....

I fished everything, every way I could think of.

I fished over 60 brush piles with minnows, crankbaits and scubba gear in 10 to 35 ft of water. I had very limited success. If fished shallow rocks in 5 to 20 ft of water... NODDA... I went out to the channel breaks in 25 to 35 ft of water and caught a few. I trolled cranks deap, shallow, on the dam and over the flats... slow... I spider rigged random groups of suspended fish with no success.

I had a great time and learned a lot. I caught some big walleye, I caugh some big whites and lots of drum but only a hadful of crappie. I guess I missed something but I fished everything the 40 mph south wind would allow as well as something I shouldn't of. All the locals where saying the same thing.

I need to go back to work just to relax now... Good luck this week guys.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

Well there is your problem,, you didnt try the dynamite or the hand crank telephone box. Those two options will work almost every time!

Glen Elder is unforgiving in the wind. The wind on that lake can be downright nasty at times.

    Thanks for the report.

damn Nick, those were some tough conditions. The last time we were there in April, we had 30 mph wind out of the North on our first day. Not a good direction for the Glen. The wind pulled a 180 overnight and we had 20 mph wind from the South on Sunday. It is somewhat easier to fish a south wind there.

Could be history repeating itself, you just can't stop it.
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat
