Great job! Thanks for the post!!! Those are some nice slabs!!!
Took some family friends to Glen last week. Lots of good fish but no real thumpers. Everything was 12 to 14 inch fish with a few smalls thrown in. Wendesday I fished alone for a couple of hours and found the fish females in the brush as posted in another thread in 14ft of water. Rigging minnows just above the brush produced a fish as fast as I could put one down right around sunset. Ended the day with about 70 fish.
Thursday I had some friends with me. We went back to the brush and I could see them in the trees but they bite was very slow and the wind was howling 25+ so we headed shallow and found the males. It was a good steady bite and ended the day with 65 keepers that we cleaned. Scary part of the trip, I left all my tackle at my aunts house and pulled up to the ramp today with NO TACKLE at ALL... That sucked but we still scrapped together enough to get the job done.
Friday pulled up to the ramp and I got the boat all ready to back down the ramp. As we started moving I heard the grinding, looked down and noticed a blown hub and bearings... I just had those redone 2 months ago.... Well spent the next three hours getting it patched up enough to get it into Glen Elder to have it fixed. Went back out for an hour to "test" the new hub before I headed and pickup up a few but bit was much slower and my heart was about half in it. All in all a great end of the week.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

Looks like a good trip for the most part, not the last part.
GREAT REPORT on the fishing.Great pics! Very nice fish. Hope all is good with the hub.
Life is good today.
You sure have the Glen dialed in but your way too young to be having forgetful alzhiemer moments Sounds like you were pretty fortunate with your wheel bearing.....with a boat it's always something....WTG!
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!
