Melvern 2/17 and 2/18

Fished both days did good, fishing channel breaks. The fish are chasing shad schools and move around up and down the break, sometimes they come up on the upper shelf just depends what the shad do. Find shad catch fish. Some fish caught on brush but most caught chasing the shad. Fished from 20 fow to 35 feet of water. Thu most fish caught at 14 ft, Fri seemed like 18 ft was the depth they preferred. White and chartreuse and black and chartreuse seemed to be the colors. Friday had four guys in the boat one was fishing 4lb mono and he out fished the guys using braid 3 to one kind of curious. Thu used the braid did not seem to make any difference.


Leaving saw about 500 Turkeys just had to get a pic. Never seen so many in one bunch before.

Nice.....I fished part of Friday at Milford and did not do well at all. I will look for the channel areas later today and tomorrow to see if it makes a difference on Milford.

Find the shad on the main channels the crappie should be there.

Didn't do well there fri..as you said... only caught a few when we did come across some shad.....just didn't find many shad.......where were the turkeys...around eisenhower?

The Turkeys were just North of the Turkey creek camping area.
