keep tryin may get better
Have been trying out some spots the past 3 days. Went to Cedar Lake Reservoir in Garnett on Sunday at 2 and had a couple nice crappie within an hour on 1/16 oz jig head using bobby garland baby shad red/chartreuse. Monday went to the exact same spot and didn't catch a thing not even a bite. I fished around several brush piles trying different jigs and just couldn't seem to get any luck. I also tried Garnett North and South lake. Still no luck. Same thing for today I fished around brush piles using squirming squirts and baby shad but nothing. Hope everyone else is having better luck than me.

I bought Marvin's old red lowe years ago. I was just starting to learn crappie fishing on big lakes and I remeber him saying him and his son or dad(can't remember which one was Marvin) would fish touraments. Not sure if he reads this site but that boat had a 63 mercury and I never had one problem with it. I know this is way off topic but anyway....just brough back memories. That cedar lake is a nice lake and I bet there are some nice fish in it. We have had mixed experieince on it. Have not spent enough time on it to learn it. Takes longer to get there then to Melvern so it is difficult to make it there.
LIFE’S TOO SHORT TO FISH WITHOUT BEER
I do not know of him but thanks for the tip. If I ever meet him i'll mention you. I have fished the reservoir a lot and its a very nice place to fish. Have caught a 17 incher out of their as well as several 15. Just must have hit the wrong piles the past few days.
