Snuck out of work at 11 today,loaded up mu son and his buddy and off to Clinton we headed to slaughter the crappie. Got to the lake at 12:30ish and there wasn't hardly anyone on the lake. I told the guys"look, that's where we need to be and nobody's there", so we puttered over there and go to it.....................3pm and 14 or so piles later we had caught "1" dink, and thats it. The boys were really giving it to me too! "Dude do you what your doing?"' "man I thought your dad could catch fish?", "does mom know you buy fish somewhere on the way home from the lake?" With those &^#%heads driving me towards insanity I just started driving and looking, ran across some brush in 29ft, marked it and strated fishing, caught 9 nice fish off it, started looking for more, quit at 4:45 with 30 nice fish and got a little of my dignity back. Those kids can be tough on an lod guy!
