Good day on the pond

Got off work early today and hit up a little watershed I've got access too. I've fished it the last couple days and haven't had much luck; just a few hits here and there. Today their was a really strong south wind, gusting up to 40 mph which brought the temp up. I like when it gets windy like that, usually when I have my best days.

Long story short, I fished off this rocky point casting with the wind out into open water and started really getting into the crappie. Caught 26 total, including 19 keepers, good fat healthy fish too (10"-14"). Don't even know how many bites I missed, lost a few at the bank as well when the jig popped out. They were all caught on a chartreuse jig fished about 3ft under a cork; just slowly dragged it in. All in all, a dang good day of fishing. Going back for more tomorrow, hopefully the cooler weather coming in doesn't turn them off.
