    Default Melvern

I have tomorrow off and was wanting to know if it would be worth the drive down to Melvern to fish. I've only fished the dock there in the past, but wanted to take the boat. Can someone tell me how the wind speeds and directions affect this lake? If I go, is there a depth that I should be concentrating on? Thanks

I have tomorrow off and was looking at going to Melvern also. Winds are 15 to 20 out of the west north west and with Melvern being an east west lake it can ger rough and hard to stay on piles that way. You will want to get there early to get a good pile out of the wind. Still debating on going or not.
It's not duck season so I have to do something... :D

Thanks Shane, Springhill. Sounds like with this wind direction and speed, it would be difficult to fish Melvern tomorrow. Just my luck. Get a day off and the weather doesn't cooperate. Last three have been perfect though. Any lakes a guy could go to and NOT get blown off the water within an hour to hour and a half drive of Gardner?

Don't let the wind stop you from going. There are many places you can fish somewhat out of the wind. Go out and bring us working people a good report... Remember, the fish always bite better in bad weather...
