    Default What to do?

I got a gift card to cabelas for xmas do I get a few new poles or a depth finder for the front of my boat? I would like to get some Hi teks 3 pole for the front of my boat which will be later on but I would like to learn how to slow troll this year. I have a small 14ft lowe that I mainly fish creeks and coves close to boat ramps, I have a cheap depth finder on the back I mainly use just for depth and water temp. I would like to put a nice fish finder on the front where I spend 99% of my time. I wanna spend about three hundred. I have done some research but still dont know what to buy. I dont get in big open water due to my little boat the deepest I usually fish is 15-20ft. What would some of you suggest I wanna be able to locate structure and drop offs etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks matt

I'd move this to the front of the boat since it will probably tell you all you need to know to find the crappie and use the gift card for poles, or whatever else you want.

Helen Keller never went fishing, and thats how I'd feel without a graph. Split the difference, you can get an inexpensive graph and start your trolling pattern rods.
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat

Looked on Cabelas website I seen some ok depth finders from $200-350 by Garmin,Hummingbird and Lowrance.

I have the Garmin 300c on front and the Eagle 480 Elite on driver console and though not the best they do help with showing the bottom and dropoffs.
