Seems like some of you guys were talking about places that work on trolling motors a few months back. The cables on my motor guide are going bad and I need to get them fixed before summer camp. Ron, I think you were one of the guys that raved about a guy in Raytown. Any good references or even places to stay away from would be appreciated. Thanks

Go to Glen at Cabelas marine shop. He knows the TM's well.
Before you take it anywhere take the top off your motor there is a bearing inside there I thought my cables were bad last year but that bearing was just coming apart. - bent it back into place and it is working fine. If that isn't the problem hold your foot pedal up and spray wd40 into the cables and keep the pedal elevated for a day or so that should loosen them up.
The place is

Don't use the map on that first screen since the mark isn't at the shop it's just the center of KCMO. Click on 'Get Direction' and it will bring up where his shop is located.
