BA. I have not been there hardly at all. last few times fish seemed much smaller and you know they have not been that big in the past but I have put any effort in there since June

I have been there several times in the last couple of weeks. I am finding a few keeper sized crappie in shallow water 3-4 ft deep. South end of the south cove and west end of cabin cove. There is a laydown on the west side of the south cove that has produced a couple of 11 and 12 inch crappie in the last 10 days.

I can never catch fish on that laydown. It looks so good, but never produces for me.

Lively minnow on 1/8 jighead. Caught crappie right after bass fishers threw jigs, spinners or whaever bait they use.

Thats another thing. I cant catch crap there on minners. And I am fond of drowning minnows. It has always seemed to be a much better jig bite for me even in the heat of summer.

One thing I have not done is fish this lake during the winter months. Last couple years I was catching a good number of keepers with this year not near the size. I think this could be a good little lake in the winter and no cold boat rides
