My wife went with me for the first time this year...We had a blast. Caught 30..kept 5 with the only one @ 10 inches...the largest was nearly 14 another 12 and some 11s to round out the creel. Finished the day when the wife, while chomping on an apple, had a 5 lb channel cat grab her minner. Great fight on a zebco 33 with 6 lb test. She is ready to go again....
Fished the little bull. found a row of hedge that i had never fished before....seemed to be one fish per tree, so kept moving....14 incher was a classic presentation, pitched the minnow up wind along a great big blown down....minner slid down the tree and whomp! had the 10 ft Wally Marshal bend in half.....I have been reliving that thump since yesterday....

sounds like a pretty good time! one fish per tree, classic summer pattern. how deep was that hedge row, saw another post where under ten feet was best... shallow water has been producing at HD lately
