    Default Walleye spawn

Fished Clinton Dam last night from around 5 to dark. Water temp on the bank was 49 degrees. Caught one small saugeye. Do you all think the spawn is still a week or two away?

I think it's running. I caught 2 last night off a small lake 23 inches and 21 inches in 35 min. Water temp was 50.

Water needs a few more degrees in the big lakes still, 48-50 is your magic number. It was still only 44 at Melvern Thursday. Not saying you can't catch them, but they big dance hasn't started yet.

Thanks you for sharing! Always great to here from our neighbors up north. I have fished Leach lake near Bimidgi Minnesota. Love that lake! Want to go again, but this time I want to be up their when the NHRA Nationals comes into Brainard. Nice walleye, and pike for sure.

Fish are still spawning where I fish. Caught 2 fish last night.. 18inch and 19inch. No minnows allowed on the lake I fish due to the fear of asian carp being introduced.. so I had to use a bobber and a whole nightcrawler. Caught one on that and one on a white roadrunner 1/16 oz throwing the rocks of the dam. Water temp 50.

Caught a male on a jerkbait at Lake Shawnee Thursday that was leaking all over the place. This cold snap is probably really going to mess the spawn up though.
