    Default Moving...

    Hey guys,

My job is moving my family and I away from the Wichita area and to the Topeka area. I have successfully fished Clinton before, but that was for catfish (at the time, they also had some sweet cleaning stations). Just wondering which lakes I should hit if I'm after some white crappie... I have a little 12' john boat and can fish off of the bank as well - just so many choices up there, I don't know where to start - Clinton, Perry, other... lol

    Thanks in advance!

    Eric

Can't help you with clinton. Or any lake north of melvern

With the weather the way it is I would just look for a pattern where you can catch the wind out of the south for 2 or 3 days wind and you should be able to catch something shallow on any lake this time of year

I bet they have quite a few coves up at Clinton would probably try the northside first

    Good luck

Either lake can be good. Bank fishing this time of the yesr can be good at most of the state parks and corps areas. If the winds arent bad you could use your boat around the Bloomington area at Clinton dont think Id take a smaller boat on the main lake at Perry though. Jmo

You might try Banner Creek up by Holton. I have never fished it, I fish Hillsdale, Pomona and Melvern.
