It's too late I am afraid. Guys in Coffey County were finding little greys and yellows first week of April. Moisture was lacking in my spots. I've been out this morning already with no luck, and it is usually the honey hole. Aunt and uncle looked for 4 hrs last night. I hope I am wrong.

Zummy I think you are right about the moisture being too late. I'm up in the NE part of the state (NM county) and we found some last weekend that had been up for 10 days or so. No we are not finding any fresh ones since the rain. They've been finding them up in Neb and Iowa for the past couple weeks I think it jumped right on over us.......

Same buddy got 14 last night. Not a morel expert but they seem to pop bout same time as crappie hit their first pop and heard some great crappie reports from Perry this week. Lets see how the morels go early next week

Found a few on Tuesday and then nothing yesterday. I agree with usually find the morels when the crappie are hitting so although really eager to find find them I think it still on the early stage.
