    Default Milford 10-3-15 wipers

Two of us headed to Milford on Saturday morning. Good thing we decided on Milford because I got a call while driving through El Dorado to keep on going, I wasn't allowed to fish El Dorado! LOL! We chased the wiper topwater bite for awhile and caught a few but they weren't staying up long and would be gone by the time we got to them. Then we got some shad and hit some of our usual spots and nobody was home there either. We decided to change things up and started to trolled small wally divers along the wind blown side. We finally found some fish in the upper portion of the lake scattered on a flat in 15-20 FOW with a few in 30 FOW. Blue/silver color pulled 70' back around 2.8 mph seemed to be what they preferred. We ended up with around 30 decent fish, nothing really big. We also caught a few smallies throwing white tube jigs and shad color crankbaits along rock banks. It felt good to finally get out again. The next time I go out I think I'll make a call and get permission AND locations for something a little closer to home!!

Great report. I guess you got permission before you posted.

I am guessing you hit the mouth of madison / Cemetery cove and the channel bluff area north of madison. A friend has been doing well in that area lately for wipers trolling

I'm not sure what the area is called but we were fishing the point straight west of the town of Milford where the main lake turns back west. We found them on the flat just south of the point.
