    Default Clinton Wipers 7-16

While leaving Clinton last evening at 10 I noticed 2 boats at the cleaning station so I had to stop to get a fishing report.
4 guys where cleaning a lot of wipers. All they told me is that they caught them out in the middle of the lake on top water lures, where the shad was busting the top. And the shad was thick enough to walk on.
I was fishing east of the island and did not see any shad so I'm not sure where they saw the shad.

The shad were everywhere I fished yesterday...looked like 2-3inch size...Wakie and Rock creek arms....fishing was still slow and only had 9 keepers...still some nice fish in the trees. Ran into Terrybassboat (Bruce) who was doin some "beanin" for cats...nice visiting with him. Name: 20140716_121209[1].jpg

Went yesterday and it was pretty slow with very little surface action but it was windy. The amount of shad in the water was unbelievable, they were everywhere on the flats. Big giant schools of them all real small around 1/2 inch. May be tough fishing with all the food in the water.
