Hit CCL this morning. Got on the water a little late since I waited to see what the thunderstorms were going to do. Got a bunch of nice pumpkinseeds, and a bunch of smallmouths. Marked several small schools of what I presumed were crappie in 30 ft of water 25 ft down. Jigged them for 30 minutes before giving up. Also got over a couple schools of white bass, but couldn't get any takers out of it. People have been slaying the channel cat (they said a guy yesterday caught 140 in the trees) and walleye fishing has picked up as well. Anyway they really preferred a 3" grub white with chartreuse tail. Caught a few on chartreuse, but now nearly as many as the combo.
Here is the first of the day. Thinking about taking the daughter back next weekend with grasshoppers and a bobber.
