Anybody Else Been Night Fishing

Thinking about doing it Saturday night into sunday morning. Never fished for much but cats at night from a boat. What should I be targeting as far as structure and depth, and wait baits to try?

A casting net will get you some shad which is primo bait for bout any lake around when it comes to catfish. I will switch to sunfish or bullheads if you are going for flatheads cause they like live bait better and it is hard to keep shad alive. If they are feeding actively I would say drifting over flats a couple cranks off the bottom would be the first thing to try and if that didn't work would try to anchor in five to ten ft. where a river channel swings up next to a bank.
