Default Bites pretty good right now.

Been seeing rain almost daily in the north east part of KS. Fished last night after a light rain at 5. Hit the water at 6. Wally, whites, channels biting well. Saw about an hour of whites on the surface right before sunset. Todays weather looks to be the same. Best fish were on an edge 15 to 28. Big channels schooled up in 19 to 28. Lots at 26 to 28. Was tripling on 5lb cats with bottom bouncers and worms. Pretty good right now. GET SOME!

Medium sized res. Doesn't matter. Bite changed the next day. Bite sucked for me Saturday. Had my little girl with and we worked to get some little fish on her line. Still no whites on the dam. Some fool wearing a life jacket and the deadman strap, wrecked his PWC and got killed while my daughter and I were on the lake. We didnt see it. We're around the main lake all evening.

If we are supposed to "GET SOME" it sure helps to know where.

IMO. North east quarter of the states been getting pretty similar weather and water conditions. Figure, Hillsdale, Clinton, Pomona, Melvern, Smithville, Stockton all fishing about the same right now. Got to catch the right day. Had a bunch of average days in the last 30 days.
But also saw 3 really phenomenal days, that were followed by really average / not special days. Seems to just be the day, not the lake. This time of year I expect to see a bite set up and be stable for a few days or even a week. But I havent had that. One day, things are wonderful all over, next day same thing same places, just another day. Not a stable pattern.

No stability yet, an from the looks of it none in sight. As soon as the lakes stabilize from rising water they will likely b dumping them. Gonna be a hit and miss summer for most of us.

Tried HD again this evening. Fished all around main lake. Only concentrations I saw were over the old road turn. Few little whites, one short eye. Yo no on um now.
