    Wink "Ice fishing for Cats"

I was out fishing (Clinton Marina Docks) for crappie yesterday using one of my "Ultra-Light Ice rod and Reel".
Catching lots of short fish with my little rod and reel with 6# test using a 1\8 oz. jig with an Electric Chicken coloredBobby Garland when all of a sudden BANG.
And the fight was on > I didn't think that fish was ever going to get worn out.
Finally after 15-20min...This Big cat came to the surface....Now came the CHALLENGE.
Getting the Fish out of the water on to the dock.
Art held my rod while I had to use both hands to grap the gills.
    Finally got this cat out..
What a blast on super light tackle.
And yes I released the fish back so someone else can have some fun...
A super day of fishing even if I did not bring fish home for supper.

If you ever get a big fish on your ultra light and feel that you might break off or the rod have someone go get a landing net off my pontoon. several nets can be reached from the walkway on the east side.
Those ice blue rods are amazing aren't they? I've never heard of one being broken yet.
