    Default Weather...Sunday 5/19

Hope everybody come out alright with this front. Only thing we got in Iola was about 1/2 of rain. Maybe some hail but didn't last long. They sounded the sirens but nothing came out of it.

Anybody else wanta share your general location and what kind of activity you had......sure hope some of our watersheds picked up some measurable precip....nows the time to get our lakes back up.
Sacred Heart of Mary, pray for us now, and at the hour of our death. AMEN

Lyon County had 2 tornadoes, maybe a couple more small ones touch down. One near the Emporia Airport and another on the SE side of Emporia. ALso had a camper thrown into a shed near Reading.

Just a lot of wind and maybe 1/2 inch of rain in Gardner. Had a pucker moment when I got home from my parents yesterday evening, my gas grill had been blown all the way across my deck and was about 6 inches from going down the stairs.......

was driving thru iola and eureka on the way back from the crappie trail tournament. couldnt decide where to park to wait out the storm. got to eureka after waiting in iola for a bit to decide what to do., just got pulled into caseys when the storm hit., only lasted about 5 minites but more rain and wind you couldnt see 5 ft in front of you.(as i found out when i went to roll my windows back up as i forgot when i say kingfish putting gas in) was still soaked 2 hours later when i made it home. Had tornado just south of my house in wichita. fortunatly none of the large hail hit my home. (or boat).

hope and pray all is well from yesterday and todays storms through out the area.

They confirmed one of the twisters in Lyon County had a path length of 9 miles off and on and was rated EF1. The other twister was rated an EF0. Between those events and what happened in Oklahoma it just reaffirmed my belief that I will never own a house without a basement or some other underground shelter.
