Well this past Wed. I took my little trip up to Osawatomie to fish the Maras Des Cygnes. Grabbed a buddy of mine. We left KC at 6. Had our poles in the Water around 7:30.
Its a cool little spot down there right under a good sized bridge at the Dam. Right at the Dam there is room on both sides, although space is limited.
I like to get away from the crowds. I went down stream from the Dam some (Had to track through the Woods & Navigate down a small cliff, wasnt too bad).
Got set up and tossed out some lines looking for the usual (Cats). Bait Used Calf & Chicken Liver, also Nightcrawlers.
Built us a small campfire on the bank, kicked back & relaxed. Only walked away with 3 decent size Channel Cats. Caught 2 w/Calf Liver & 1 w/Chicken Liver. Fished till about 4:30am and called it quits.
Didn't make a killing but had a great time. A nice get away spot I found and only an hour away from home.
Will edit w/pic when Im on my home computer.

Sounds like a real relaxing time with some real solitude...that's what fishing should be all about ....sometimes I work at it too hard! Thanks for the post....good luck on your catfishing, they are excellent table fare.
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!
