I fished the flats between Rebecca road and Curtis creek point the last two weeks at night and we been doing decent on blues and channel. We caught one real good one last week brought 11 home for the fryer. First week we used cut white bass and shrimp with most coming in on cut bait. This week we used cut shrimp and shrimp with all but one coming in on the shad.
Thanks for the good info fellas. Hopin to get my wife hooked up to a larger than usual blue. She has done a great job on the channels uo to 10lbs but hasn't hooked up with anthing bigger. I put one in the boat just short of 42lbs several weekends ago but haven't been back out since. Picked up that one off the east-west dike on the back side of Indian point jigging for walleyes. Was released to fight another day. That was one of three hooked up to that day that I got to the boat.
Fished Sat morn till it got too hot for the wife. Did OK, kept a couple of wallys for the table and released several several flatheads that ran 13-15 lbs. The wife had a good time and I was happy for her. Fished rocked piles in 18-23 fow on the middle part of the lake. Couldn't scratch a fish any shallower. Several limits of keeper walleyes were taken up around the cartops area also from several different parties of boats that morn too.
Sounds like I need to make the trip to Milford! There has been some nice fish caught there recently. I have read about a lot of big blue being caught recently as well.
Don't Move a Mussel!! Clean, Drain and Dry EVERY TIME, ON EVERY BODY OF WATER!!
The 'cartops' are located off of Farnam Creek camping area on the main lake. Has a series of humps and such along the river channel and toward the bank. Going to the south along the bank you'll find a nice flat also.
Thanks
