new place in MN

Gents,
I just rented a 2 bedroom, 2 stall garage on a lake in MN....1 stall for the truck...the other for the boat. It is on a bluff...has a dock...there are black crappies, wallies, and pike in the lake. There is a resort at the bottom of the hill with a baitshop and a bar and grill. I think There is a public access ramp next to the resort. It is 6.5miles to the office. Ice fishing should start around xmas. I plan on being there by the 1st week of January.I'm gonna like MN.

the shore in front of my place has a gradual sloping ROCKY shoreline.....catch spawners on the nest from my dock according to the owner! He has a buddy that catches limits of wallies during first ice 100 yards away.....

chad if you go up in july take some 1/8 oz. jig heads you can use skeeters for bait or some 1/16 usem top water for smallies?

got 10 boxes packed today...moving on January 7th. been looking for clamshell icehouses and used ice augers on craigslist....

Let me know when you get a REAL ice shack set up....you know with the recliner, tv, stove etc.....now THAT'SMinnesota ice fishing cheers
