    thanks everyone....gonna hold off until spring...fall and winter with a pup can be a challenge with the lack of sunlight......may go the way of a rescue...can't make up my mind

    The best thing to do is just wait till the right one or two ha come along dogs have away of finding you sometimes.And yes fall & winter can be a hard time to start a new pup. Jim C.

    Please consider a rescue. My wife and I used to foster dogs that were within 24 hours of being put in the death chamber (gas mostly), or that were in no-kill shelters for a very long time. Fostering dogs was our way to bring some type "right" to dogs that didn't do anything wrong. We had several labs come through. Some of the best dogs ever (with the one exceptionDoh)!
