    Cool 3 days of torture

It's freakin brutal out there, hot is an understatement. After 3 days in it I'm just now getting my kidneys to work again, my sweat pores are exhausted and I look like a blonde pedro. Jim and I fished Glen all of them, that man's a trooper!! As KS99 stated the wally's and the whites are on a terror, esp the whites. Jim's getting hooked on power fishing, when it's happening it's good. As many of you know, I love slingin' plastic, it supports my oversized ego. And we just endured 3 days of head swellin', we didn't catch the numbers of fish the meat draggers did, but by the sound of it our catch ratio was far superior. I don't think we bagged a keeper on bait, it's just hard to beat a hot swimbait bite, at least for me. By today Jim became an old salt at power fishing, I enjoyed watching him progress to it, he was whackin' wally like whites on the frenzy.Hands Clapping Most of our fish came in 5'-7', we sat in 10' and threw to the bank. After lunch that depth was 12', the fish are holding in the stuff the crappie spawned in this spring. We looked deeper, but just felt more comfortable shallow. I heard 1 of the KWA guys from Salina caught 150 wallys to get his 5 fish limit, that's 2nd hand though. We tried some worm, but only caught shorts. No problems here getting a limit, even butterfingering quite a few overboard, they was some floppin' rascals. The whole lake is 1 giant school of white bass and that makes for some excitement constanstly. Are you going to camp now!!!!!!Thumbs Up

Wow, a report like that would make putting up with 100 degree temps worth it to catch walleyes. Wonder if the high water temps got the walleyes metabolism cranking so high their eating for their life. Good stuff. After seeing you joking about massive fish kills in your other post it makes a guy wonder if they will have a big striper die off at Wilson with this heat.

    Great report, Crappiedoc!Thumbs Up

Sounds like it was a lot of fun. My wally count this year just isn't up to par. Then again, my number of trips to wally fish isn't up to par either... Oh well. Glad somebody is smackin' em!
I am just pullin' your leg.:D
